New additions to the teacher stab

21-02-2012

Before the start of this new semester I decided to strengthen our teacher stab with a couple of new teachers in English and Social sciences. The students are what's most important to us here att Grennaskolan and with more teachers we can give the students the attention they deserve. We want the students to have the best outlook possible for continuing their studies or applying for jobs after their graduation.

Small school, great possibilities

bildspel

Grennaskolan is a smaller school situated in Gränna, a historical place close to nature only a few swedish miles from the citylife of Jönköping. The school is one of Swedens three national boarding-schools and we offer both national and international education. This brings great possibilities for exchange in sports and studies. Today the school has 170 high school students and 75 elementary school students. This in combination with the schools large staff assures that every student is attended to properly. We offer education for both boarding school and external students.

Fence and take photos in your spare time!

To create the best study enviroment possible, we offer students several activities in their spare time such as fencing, rowing, golf, jazzdance, clay pidgeon shooting, photography courses and much more.

Three good reasons to apply to Grennaskolan.

Air ballonist, historical ruins & Arn

1963 Grennaskolan Boarding-school became Swedens first international highschool. The school is surrounded by a beautiful enviroment, close to nature and brimming with history. Once upon a time Gränna was the centre of Per Brahes countship. There are also several museums to visit, amongst others one that displays memories of the air ballonist Salomon August Andrée. At the harbor you can also take the ferry over to scenic Visingsö. There you can see ancient monuments and the ruins of Näs castle. For those interested in films and books it might also be interesting to know that the famous books and films about Arn, written by Jan Guillou, partially takes place on Visingsö.
